Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi will skip tomorrow’s showdown against Roma as he’s suffering from a fever.

Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi is already without the services of Davide Frattesi who sustained a strain in training earlier in the week.

It appears that the coach’s midfield ranks have shrank with Sensi remaining at home this weekend.

According to Sky Sport Italia via FcInterNews, the 28-year-old felt a fever, prompting the technical staff to send him home.

The Italian was spotted leaving the club’s training facility at Appiano Gentile in his car while his teammates were preparing to travel to the capital.

Nevertheless, Inzaghi can still count on five midfielders at his disposal. The manager will unleash the golden trio of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan from the start.

The 47-year-old will also have the experienced Davy Klaassen and the young Kristjan Asllani on the bench.

The management already considered Sensi surplus to requirements and tried to offload him in January.

Stefano Sensi To Skip Inter Milan’s Clash Against Roma As He’s Suffering From Fever

The Italian international was on the cusp of sealing a move to Leicester City. He landed in England on deadline day and even passed his medical.

However, the Foxes failed to overcome the bureaucratic hurdles on time, causing the move to collapse.

Sensi thus rejoined Inzaghi’s squad where he’ll remain until his contract with the club expires at the end of the season.

However, he remains at the bottom of the pecking order and is struggling to earn playing time.

The former Sassuolo man has only made four appearances in all competitions this season, and has yet to start a match.
