Inter might need to get creative this summer to shore up their attack and are taking a hard look at Dodi Lukebakio. It’s not the first time he has fallen on their radar. They have some pending business with Sevilla that could help them out, La Gazzetta dello Sport informed.

The Nerazzurri contemplated him last summer but opted to sign Alexis Sanchez, who was out of contract. He shares some traits with Marcus Thuram. He’s big and powerful but likes to move around on the pitch.

Inter inserted Lukebakio in their shortlist of alternatives should they miss out on their top target Albert Gudmundsson. All their moves, including the renewals, have been put on hold until owner Steven Zhang refinances the Oaktree loan.

Genoa want €30M for their ace, and the Nerazzurri will have to collect the money one way or the other to get there. The risk of other teams outbidding them or moving more decisively before they can is tangible.

Instead, they have a trump card for the Belgian striker, whose valuation is about €12M. Sevilla would like to keep their loanee Lucian Agoumé, preferably spending less than their €8M option to buy. A partial swap could be in the cards.

Our Take on Inter and Lukebakio

They would have consistent characteristics when they rotate if they acquired him or somebody similar, and he probably wouldn’t be too hard to sign. On the other hand, they’d be more well-assorted adding a slippery and technical speedster to the mix.
