Tampa Bay Lightning forward Alex Killorn missed Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final and will also sit out Friday's Game 3 against the Montreal Canadiens, head coach Jon Cooper confirmed, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Killorn is considered day-to-day after suffering a lower-body injury during Tampa's 5-1 Game 1 victory on Monday. He suffered the injury while blocking a shot from the point by Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry toward the end of the second period.
The loss of Killorn is unfortunate for the Bolts as he plays such a crucial role on the team's second line with Steven Stamkos and Anthony Cirelli. He's also a member of the Lightning's top power-play unit and has been stellar on the penalty kill.
Killorn currently ranks fourth on the Lightning with 17 points this postseason. His eight goals rank second among players still active in the playoffs. Brayden Point leads the league with 14 goals, while Stamkos also has eight.
The Bolts lead the Canadiens 2-0 in the Stanley Cup Final and could take a commanding 3-0 series lead Friday to put Montreal on the brink of elimination.
