NFL Draft anaylst believes Brock Bowers landing with the Raiders offers him a unique opportunity
Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders drafted TE Brock Bowers with the 13th pick in the 1st round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

In the newest episode of "The Football Room," myself and James Foster provided some rookie superlatives for the 2024 draft class.

I took a different approach with one of my answers, which involved Raiders rookie Bowers.

During the episode, one of the topics we discussed was our favorite matchups that rookies have on their upcoming schedule. While that could have meant rookie vs. rookie in a WR vs. CB type matchup, I decided to go out of the box a bit for one of my answers.

I decided to bring up the fact that Bowers landing in the AFC West is going to allow us the unique opportunity to watch him play one of the greatest TEs of all time, Travis Kelce. Here is part of what I shared on the episode (23:19 timestamp):

"Twice a year, we are going to get to see him (Bowers) vs. Kelce for the foreseeable future. This means that in the same film, we will get to compare Bowers to arguably this generation's best TE."

It's not every day you get to compare one of the greatest to ever play a position like Kelce to such a highly coveted rookie like Bowers. And thanks to them being in the same division we will not only get to compare them during Bowers rookie year, but it'll be a great representation of how Bowers develops over time.
